Claudia Cap

Claudia Cap, the daughter of a manufacturer of artificial flowers, K.-H. Seitz, was born in Rumburg/Sudetenland, Germany, in 1939. She was trained as chemotechnician in Munich, from 1955 to 1957, and afterwards she worked at the Max-Planck-Institut from 1955 to 1999. Although painting had been her greatest interest since her childhood, she started to paint quite later, at the beginning of the 1970ies, under the influence of Rolf Cavael. Her first paintings appeared from 1970 to 1972. In developing her own artistic style she interprets the laws of abstract painting and tries to organize colors and forms in a harmonic palette that has a positive effect on the observer.
